997.1 Window Drop Issue (Passenger)

Stock 2007 C2 63k miles. Passenger window will crack 1/4" with inside/outside door handles and stay open after they are released. but will not return full up once the door is closed. I have to run the window up manually after closing the door and get out drivers side (which works fine).

I have read lots of threads about the regulator and threads with the opposite condition (window goes up while door open).

pull inside handle slightly, (without opening/release the door) drops
release inside handle flat/push on it, no movement/stays drop
^same condition with the exterior handle, microswitch drops window, never returns it.

drivers door -barely pull, drops, release, close (as inteded, inside and out).

both doors closed, lock, 1 beep (ah-ha! i said) its the door latch switch/thinks the door is open. Resolved that, window still stays cracked.

One-touch:
Noticed drivers window one-touch up->down works fine. Passenger side down works, up does not (not even after 1/2 way). Tried a few different reset procedures I have found, still does not work in the up direction at all.

(closed up stage one, then pressed up stage one once)
(closed up stage one, continued to hold for 5, 10, 15 and 30 second intervals)
(closed up stage one, release, pressed up stage 2)
(closed up stage one, held up stage 2 5, 10, 15, 30 seconds)
(closed up stage 2, release, pressed up stage 1)
(closed up stage 2, continue hold for 5, 10, 15, 30 seconds)
(closed up stage 2, release, pressed up stage 2)
(closed up stage 2, release, pressed up stage 2 twice)
(closed up stage 1, release, pressed up stage 1 twice)

I have performed those steps for driver and passenger side multiple times (drivers side continues to function full up/down, pass functions full down no up)

I am wondering if the door-open drop function 'uses one-touch' to perform that action..drivers one-touch works up/down and window drop works. pass side one-touch only works down and window drop only works down.

I'm leaning towards bad regulator but before ordering the part and attempting it I would like to rule out other functionality. Window speed/noise is the same on both sides not sluggish/grinding/squeaking etc. Does anyone know if the window drop is 'tied' to one-touch functionality?

Either the latch or micro switch. A scan tool that can show "actual values" will help you figure it out in about 2 mins.

Cheers
