2002 Carrera C2 - Backup Lights not working
 

I am trying to rectify my issue with the backup lights on my Carrera - 2002. I read forums related to the switch on the transmission and replaced it with a new Porsche switch. The light bulbs are good - tested them with a battery. Fuse and relay are good.
When replacing the switch I checked the leads and it appears that I am not getting power to the leads at the switch. Crossed them over with ignition switch on and checked with test meter - no power.
Is there an issue I am missing or is it a wire broken or disconnected somewhere? I am not sure how to proceed.

Fuse? Brake lights work?

Yes fuse is good. The fuse also is in system for the remote mirrors and they are working.
Yes brake lights work too.
There is also a relay in the circuit and I checked it as well. The relay is operating too.
I need to do some checking on the line to see where the power ends in order to narrow down the problem but I thought I would check to see if anyone had any experience with a similar problem and might have a suggestion before I start chasing gremlins.
