2002 Carrera C2 - Backup Lights not working
I am trying to rectify my issue with the backup lights on my Carrera - 2002. I read forums related to the switch on the transmission and replaced it with a new Porsche switch. The light bulbs are good - tested them with a battery. Fuse and relay are good.
When replacing the switch I checked the leads and it appears that I am not getting power to the leads at the switch. Crossed them over with ignition switch on and checked with test meter - no power. Is there an issue I am missing or is it a wire broken or disconnected somewhere? I am not sure how to proceed. |

Yes fuse is good. The fuse also is in system for the remote mirrors and they are working.
Yes brake lights work too. There is also a relay in the circuit and I checked it as well. The relay is operating too. I need to do some checking on the line to see where the power ends in order to narrow down the problem but I thought I would check to see if anyone had any experience with a similar problem and might have a suggestion before I start chasing gremlins. |
