Struts
I got my 99 996 from a barn storage, where it sat not driven much in the past few years,It runs very well, but the ride sucks,I 'm sure a lot is due to the very old tires.New set is ordered for Aug 27 install.
My shop tells me It needs struts all around,But the service records shows struts done at 83500, it now has 102k.So is it possible they've died, because of the long sit.? I would think not.. any suggestions? I've had oil change, belts and all checked, got Bg 44k in oil and gas, which helped smooth out the engine, new plugs going in soon. I drove it home 6 hours, at highway speeds,which seemed helpful.

Do the records say what brand or part number struts were installed ? Personally I would be surprised if 19k miles killed them . I would get the new tires installed and see how she feels . If the old tires exhibit any weird wear patterns an alignment might be a good idea . Also at 100k + your rubber suspension pieces may be in need of replacement . Just something to think about . You are not far from me so howdy neighbor

tires on, drive is better, not fantastic but good.ill wait for my tech pal to give another opinion.
I'd like to do exhaust update too. cost is a concern, Im retired....blah blah blah
