996 Suspension recommendation request

I have a 1999 996 C2 Cab a rear strut slowly leaking hydraulic fluid. the vehicle has 78miles and I use it as a daily driver but plan on attending 4 DEs a year.

I plan on keeping the car for a long time as my second, but favored car, but it will always be more of a daily driver.

What are my options?
- Should I just replace the rear struts with a direct stock replacement?
- Should I replace fronts and backs with an upgraded system? How "upgraded" do I really need?

thanks!

I would and have upgraded to a new coilover system. Look into the PSSS10 or the M030 ROW, or the PSD Yellow Coilovers. Good luck and I promise you the change in the performance of your vehicle will leave you speechless

If I could tap into this discussion...

I got a set of 2001 (or so) 996 turbo struts and springs cheaply, and wanted to mount them on our 1999 996 C2 cab. According to the catalogs, these are not supposed to fit my car.

The fronts look fairly similar, except there are two mounting tabs on the base of the spring support of the turbo set that would not tie into anything on the C2. I haven't checked the rears yet. I haven't tried to mount them on the front yet either.

In any of your research or practical experience, can these turbo struts and springs be made to fit a C2?

Appreciate any info or further direction.

GBOKAS -- if they do fit, this might be a way for you to go -- lowers the car an inch, I believe.

I really con't answer your question, but I can tell you that with the system I installed, the ride height is exactly 25" from the top of the wheel fender arch to the ground on all four wheels.

Don't think they will fit, the diameter of the strut is different. Measure it where it goes through the knuckle.
BTW , I have a set off a turbo with lowering springs for sale
