Seat Removal Electrical Connector Problem (996)

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I’ve searched extensively with no luck. So here goes:
My 2003 996 C4S has the M537 Option, “Seating position control for comfort, left seat,” and I’m having difficulty with the last of the electrical connectors going to that package under the driver’s seat.
Here’s a couple of shots of underneath there with the bright green arrow pointing to the connector that's giving me problems-

In this next shot the green arrow points to a black, plastic clip which straddles the white connector-

And these next two shots with that clip raised up shows how I was able to move it to the apparent “release” position. However, that’s as far as I’ve gotten, as the white electrical connector isn’t hinting as to the next step needed to free it, and I don’t want to use force and risk breaking it. And insightful suggestions will be appreciated.

I am not clear what your objective is. Are you trying to remove the seat from the car?

If so, and if you car is like my '99, memory says that entire box assembly detaches from the seat.

Yes.

Although I'm sure that would ultimately be possible, I don't think that's the easiest way to go. At this point I disconnecting that white plug is my objective.

Ok, I got off my @ss and went and looked at my car. I remembered something about this from when I installed GT3 seats a year ago.

If your car is the same as mine ('99), then the white connector has a "catch on two sides. I "think" I used a small flat blade jeweler's screwdriver to get in and release the catches. Then the entire harness slides out.

That said, I have read that you have to be careful about buying alternate seats for these cars because the electricals are not consistent from year to year so your seat may be different than mine..

Pull the two white pins out of the seat anchors. Then pivot the anchor away from the seat frame. This will allow the front of the cushion to be lifted away from the frame. That will give you more room to see what is holding the connector. My semi-manual sport seats have a different connector

Not that I don't appreciate the help, but a point of correction (as I just finished disconnecting it): the plug/connector comes out in the same direction that the little black plastic clip releases - straight up. Once that clip is raised, reaching in with a long, narrow screwdriver to raise that clip a bit further and the connector pops right up/off.
