Unhappy Need help! Do I have PASM or not? Confused

I just got a 2007 Carrera S Cabriolet. I have inspected the strut and can see the strut wire coming out into the connector. I also have the SG Damp tronic control unit at the top right corner of the passenger side foot stairwell.

When I removed the car battery and put back, it gave me PASM and PSM error all of which cleared after a short drive.

Now the issue I have is this: I tried to press the sport button on the centre console but it wont work. No lights at all! I also noticed I cant manually raise or lower the spoiler. But the spoiler works cos it came up some time ago.

I then checked behind the combination switch and I didnt find ANY wiring attached to it!! Nothing at all. Just the plastic with the buttons!

Whats going on now is that the ride is hard. The ride was even harder when I had the PASM error light on. So it was a little temporary relief when the error went off.

Are there 997 without buttons in the centre console that still have PASM?

I have tried to run a computer diagnostic on the car and it gave an error code "0010 LED Button" as an error in the PASM menu.

If this situation is possible, could it just be that the shocks/dampers are just tired and just need changing!!

Really need help here.

Thanks

D.

Sounds like the harness popped off when you removed the control panel and it went into the dash somewhere, it has to be there somewhere, the code you have is from it not seeing the panel as is not plugged in.......

Thanks for the reply. Yes. I thought so too. I have checked ALL OVER!! just cant find it anywhere!! This is what is so confusing!

Even if I were to get new wiring maybe on eBay, where would I connect it to? Where does it originate from?

It's tied into the main harness...it possibly fell under the front of the center console, pull the side panels off at the front of the console, you should be able to see everything in there

anyone have a picture of what this wire/connector looks like?

Maybe someone removed theirs at some point and took a pic?

thanks

Have you checked the option codes under the front trunk lid? You can confirm whether it came with PASM or not. I'd start there. You might need to have a dealer conduct the fix if you can't get help sourcing the wire connection. Sorry, can't be more help.
