New car for me - no history

Hello,

A friend referred me to this website. I recently purchased a 2006 911 Carrera S Cabriolet in red. I found it on line and bought it by just how it looked. Now I'm trying to find out if anyone knows anything about this car. It has a few modifications so it may be recognizable. I am totally new on this subject so ant info you have any info on this car would be appreciated. The engine has an IPD plenum, a GT3 throttle body, and an EVOMS cold air intake (I learned this from EVOMS, thanks Chris). I think it has the stock exhaust. The steering wheel is an awesome D-shaped carbon fiber unit (this hooked me!).

Jason

Just trying again to see if anyone has ever seen this car. According to the Carfax, it was in Florida, Woodside CA, San Diego CA, Loa Angeles CA. I really like this car but it has some issues that need to be fixed and the dealer decided to "just pick the car up" rather than fix them. I'm pissed. I love the car but at this point I'm wondering if I should just return it. The PSM light was on when I purchased it so they gave me a due bill to fix it. Once the price to fix it and the clutch (which I found out was bad the first time I tried to accelerate at 55 in 4th gear, it slipped). I took it to Bakersfield Porsche and the lowering was done with springs. How about a EVEOMS flash? I think it was re-programmed. How would one find out? Thanks.

You are playing with fire. As you seem to know so little about the car, I have to assume you have not had a PPI run on it, so you have no idea what condition it is in.

Get a full inspection report ASAP - in the future a proper, full PPI is a must.
