I would add a caution "be sure to RECONNECT the airbag prior to reconnecting the battery" FAILURE to do so will trigger the airbag light.
If that happens what are the options to reset the airbag light?

Yes indeed! The only option is to have the light reset by a scan tool that reads Porsche Airbag system faults.
