May 19th OTR at Willow - anyone know?

I heard there'll be an OTR event held at Big Willow on May 19th. Usually Kalo sends out emails to everyone announcing it, but haven't seen one. Does anyone have any information on this?

Thanks.

It's on.

I got an email about it from Kailo a couple of days ago, but the email had the "March 3 Event" subject line (I guess he was copying and pasting, and forgot to fix the date.)

The email:

Quote:
Our next event is scheduled for May 19, 2004 on the big track at Willow Springs. This event will be run in the same fashion as all previous events. We will have three run groups, beginner, intermediate and advanced. Each run group will get (5) 30 minute run sessions totaling 2 1/2 hours of track time. For all newbies or people who want to attend, we will have classroom instruction followed by on-track instruction. As always, all paid participants will get an all you can eat BBQ lunch and an OPEN TRACK RACING shirt. The price for this event is $145.00. Please remember that all OTR events are open to all that want to attend, so please tell a friend!

Yeah, The "Stay Puff" will be there ready to go. Trying to talk Ingo and Mike into going. Ingo says hes in if hes not traveling. Hopefully Brad is up for it also.

I'm there! I'll need to break in the new Ecsta V700's......I hope I made the right decision.....

Dan, when does Stay Puff become less puffy, you've got the t-bars yet?

Getting anxious

Looks like I have a business conflict that day, but I will try to reschedule.

After all, we need to keep our priorities straight!

Brad - I have a set of the Ecsta's and have found them to be very sticky and relatively long-lived for DOT-R tires; however, they do tend to feel "greasy" after 10-15 minutes of hot lapping. Still, they are a great value for the money and are a nice complement to the Victoracer line as the available sizes are different.

Thanks Chris....there are so many choices out there. My top 3 were the A032R, Proxes RA1, and the Ecsta V700. I chose to save a couple hundred bucks.

You better have a word with your scheduling person

Brad, Stay Puff becomes less puffy late summer. T-bars I hope to pick up from Hans on the 19th. Then just get my bushings for everything and Im set. Hopefully I can do everything over a couple of weekends.

I am an 80% in. If I make it back from Taiwan in time I'll be there with the brown Targa. (motor rebuild, new Koni's, new rear swaybar, and maybe even with my new 16/8's in the back)

I am planning a visit to the pits just for the ride out (might take Angles Crest over to the 14) and the a chance to catch a couple laps as a passenger. Zekespeed is not quite ready for the track.

You bet your butt I'll be there! I think I'm running in Blue this time so take it easy on me.

Todd, there shouldn't be any problem getting instructor time. It might not happen every session, but you need some alone time to gain confidence anyway.

www.helmetcity.com although it's a little hard to try them on there. Maybe you should just get a loner until you're sure you'll be back (yeah right).

Todd, call Dave B. I think he knows a place locally for helmets. Galen at Werks II stocks them, I know.

Todd, I'll be in the blue group, so you are more than welcome to share my helmet, size M Bell M2......of course, it may be a little grungy by the end of the day

If I recall, there is a race/performance shop somewhere in Burbank....trying to remember the name...
