Larry, is there a strict noise limit at Alameda? I have heard rumors that there is and wanted to confirm as our autox car is a bit on the loud side.

Thanks,
Mary

yes there is a sound limit and so far we have all been good neighbors they seem. but if your car isnt too loud like open exhaust .. it should be ok.... It all depends how much you have modified your muffler

We don't autox our 911. Our autox car is a fully prepared AP Cobra replica.......no open exhaust but healthy sounding side pipes. Hubby thinks the db's are low to mid 90's. Here is what it sounds like from an in car camera http://www.norcal-cobras.com/videos/mary_9-20-03_ax.wmv

Our good friends Susan and EJ Fontaine run a AP 914-6 and would love us to bring the Cobra but it is a couple hour trip to haul the car to Alameda so we don't want to come if we are just going to be shown the exit Do you think it is too loud?

Thanks Larry! I just emailed Doug. We would love to come down and run as the Fontaine's rave about PCA and Alameda. Thanks again

I've gotten a preview of the course design and it looks great! Very fast with two long slaloms, a devilish closing-radius sweeper at the far end and some fast switch backs. Don't worry - I'm not getting an unfair advantage by seeing the course - I won't be there this weekend

Have fun, everyone!

Dean
