The last two events have used the bowl, one each direction, but I think they're going back to clockwise for this one.

Is there a stock exception for the PCA event? Or will I have to install a track bar and 5-point harnesses to run the TT event?
There used to be an exception for students, where stock belts could be used for stock class for two events (until you got your competition permit), but the rules have changed now and all cars must have 5 point restraints. See the reg form on the PCA site.

I didn't read every post in detail, so forgive me if this was already mentioned. But L.A. PCA is in Zone 8, so an L.A. PCA members can compete in every Zone 8 event for points. This includes a number of AXes throughout the year, and just about every TT (in fact I think ALL 2005 TT's are Zone 8 events).

I believe all Zone 8 members are welcome at all S.D. events. It's just a matter of it being a points event or not.

Re: Need Input on PCA!

Redwood region

Do any of you get involved in the events?

I go to one or two AutoXs per year, and would go to all of them if I had the time, it's at a great venue and is lots of fun.

What do you think of PANORAMA?

It's an okay magazine, I'd rather get excellence, but no way am I paying for PCA membership and an excellence subscription. I never bother with all the goofy region news, the articles can be lightweight (the writing is terrible god they need an editor with grammar skillz!!!). The ads are probably the bit I spend the most time reading.

How about your chapter’s monthly mag?

Der Reisenbaum... I usually read it, it is a pretty minimal affair. Easy place to get published if I wanted to. I'm still pissed at them for printing my "Ultimate Emissions Thread" from this forum as an article and not giving me credit.

What would you like to see PCA national and regional chapters change?
I don't care at all about national. If I really cared about my region I could easily get involved and change things myself. If I had that kind of time available I would spend it on other things anyway. I guess I never was much of a joiner. I just dig going to the AutoXs when I get a chance.
