Well, to further complicate things, I'll add that changing rake will also affect the roll force distribution.

Raising or lowering one end of the car will change the relationship between roll center height, and center of gravity on that end of the car.

This will affect understeer/oversteer. It's subtle, but noticeable if the car is really dialed in.

Tyson illustrates one of the most simple and effective tuning elements on a torsion bar 911.

Next to tire pressure and Anti Roll Bar adjustments, adjusting front ride height is a very simple way to make understeer / oversteer balance shanges.

If you take care - as you should with all adjustments - it can be done without jacking the car up, even changed during a session - reversed just as easily.

The change in RC height on the front axle is compounded by a small but same direction change in spoiler height both of which will trim the balance of the car.

In a car with a decent set-up and decent tires a novice will feel this change.

Regards

Hayden
