New Track Toy
Hello fellow Pelicans.....
I have been here for years and most of you may know me so at this stage I am In Disguise.... MUHAHAhahaha!!!! I don't want my fellow region buddies to know that I bought a new track toy but thought you all would enjoy seeing what I Scored!!!! MANY MANY MANY thanks to the original builder for being a great friend and engineer and for allowing me to continue with his pride and joy at a killer price. This car was 1750 pounds wet with its last engine arrangement. I have not decided yet what I will end up with... 2.8, 3.32, 3.6 ? That's right 1750 pounds wet! Semi tube chassis Custom WIDE RSR rear fenders RSR pick up points Koni adjustable's on and on and on The car was developed for SCCA GT3 and I purchased it as a complete rolling chassis with everything ready and tested. The color is not what it will end up being and neither are the wheels so stay tuned.... MUHAhahahaha ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

That's too funny, but I wasn't logged in either....
Vipergrün, I am in one of the two places listed in your sig. Here are a couple more pics. Original style RSR raised suspension mounts. ![]() Tube chassis built just within the rules for PCA and SCCA. ![]() Oil cooling exits out the sides to provide additional air to the brakes.

Sweet ride. If you have any intentions of doing SCCA with that car you'll want to do some cyphering to see what motor/weight combination will work best. GT-2 uses a sliding weight scale based on engine displacement. You have to see what will give you the best HP to weight ratio. A tweaked 3.2 might work out to be better then a stock 3.6.

In Disguise,
That is a very nice car, can't wait to see it finished so be sure to post some pics. If you post a few more pics so someone might be able to figure out where it came from.

That is the advantage in buying a car that is completed or close to it. Someone else spent all the money and time. I bought this from a good friend and I know for a fact that he put a TON of time into this build. I watched it from the ground up over several years.
A 3.6 is on its way..... that should make this baby fly!!!!

Was this car purchased on the west coast then moved to the east coast... Then for sale again on the east coast?? I seem to remember a car that looked like this that had been for sale in the last year...

This was the first time the car was offered up for sale and never changed states. It is on neither coasts.
The car was built off a 67 912 platform around 6 years ago now that I look back at some pictures I have of the build. I rode in this baby when it had an 8800 rpm 2.2 in it and it was scary fast with that little motor, can't wait for the 3.6......

Kemo,
You are correct, the cat has been let out of the bag locally so I am now admitting my addiction to the public.... ![]() I am trying to sell off some stuff to gather the additional funds to get it painted and complete the engine conversion by the end of this summer. Hopefully some late season testing will be in my future.
