fabcar shifter install part 2
i bolted the shifter to the floor and figured out how to lengthen the shift tube. my question now is how do you secure the rear of the shaft which connects to the shift coupling so it doesn't flop around. does anybody have a picture of their setup? btw, i'm installing it in a 930 with 4 speed. any help would be greatly appreciated. mick

Mick,
Share some pics of your final install if you don't mind?

believe it or not i'm without a digital camera as the ex took it with just about eveything else in the divorce. i got to get one as i have a wevo shifter, factory motorized flag mirrors, rear quarter glass, electomitve ignition, and other goodies that i need to sell and pics would be nice. kevin, i ended up going with a spherical rod end as a rear guiding point. it worked perfect with the 5/8" steel rod i slid into the shift tube to extend it. once i got everything fine tuned i took it out for a blast and it worked perfect. i love the new shifter location closer to me so i'm not reaching way forward as was the case in the stock position. i'll try to get some pics. thanks again for your help. mick
