Aims Data Logger help
I finished installing a MXL2 Dash Logger in my car.
I now have some issues to tidy up. Question, Do any of you know of someone who is proficient at Aims and Race Studio 3? I am going to Willow Springs this weekend with the new set up. I need to finish some of the calibrations out on the track. I know this is short notice but it would be great to have a coach/Aims Installer interested on making a few bucks next Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Oil pressure gauge reading wrong, possible config problem, TPS not set-up, Track Data transfer to dash and a host of other questions. Im sure someone out there knows this system and can help. Please PM with recommendations who will be in the area.

You could try Kevin Roush at GAS Motorsports in Upland
Here's a good place to ask too: Data Acquisition and Analysis for Racing and DE - Rennlist Discussion Forums |

For you to help the eventual person you may use, you need to gather all the attribute data for each of the car components the MXL2 will be integrating with and the communication rates those components work best within.
Only after this is done can you start the channel mapping and I/O scaling for where to hook up devices based on the component attributes . SyS Engr. 101 Sys Engr. 101

Jerry Austin is super knowledgeable and sells all the cables/connectors/sensors if you need them.

Thanks for all the help.
I found my Oil Pressure reading was incorrect because I was trying to have the factory dash gauge and the Aims dash read the same sensor. Can't do, too much voltage feedback. The Throttle Position Sensor was out of calibration. I found the tab in Race Studio 3 to set the 0% to 100% Point A and then Point B. Works great. All is working now. Waiting on mailman for the Smarty HD camera mount. I bought this system from Jerry Austin and I totally agree Jerry is a GREAT guy. Jerry has been out of the country and has emailed everyday helping me along. I had co-driver spend a day with Kevin Roush and said it was the least amount of money he spent on his car to go 2.5 seconds faster. I get to go out and play with the car on Friday at Willow Springs during the Test and Tune day. I ordered the book "Making sense of Squiggly lines" by Christopher Brown today. I also want to thank Dwain Dement at Vision Motorsports for his recommendations.
