CAR IS SOLD 11/14/2018
I purchased this car in with the intention of preparing the it for Historic Sportscar Racing’s Classic 24-hour and 12-hour events at Daytona and Sebring, respectively. My intentions have been fulfilled except for completion of the graphics, which I will leave up to the new owner. I did purchase and ad some period correct decals as can be seen in the photos. Of course, all that is vinyl and easily removed. Unfortunately, personal reasons now require me to sell the car. This car has been developed for the vintage IMSA GTU class. The paint is fresh and in very nice vintage race car quality condition. The car has a Dawes built 3-liter motor built around a 3.2-liter case and drives thru an active 915 Velios modified transaxle with a limited slip differential. Motor was dyno’d in December 2017 and made 272rwhp at 6,600rpm. Motor has approximately 4.4 hours. The tub is extensively reinforced from bumper-to-bumper and is skinned with composite body work including all four quarters, both decklids, both bumpers, rockers, targa bar and roof. Panel fitment is very good and easily removed with Dzus fasteners. Porsche Turbo brakes with driver bias adjustment. 935 adjustable suspension with Bilstein RSR coilover struts and coilovers rear. Data acquisition system with digital dash. Fire suppression system. two sets of Panasport 3-piece racing wheels. All safety equipment is up to date. Spec list has been added in follow-up post below. The car also comes with a complete Quiet Horsepower exhaust system that includes collectors, pre-mufflers (2) and primary muffler. Mounting bracket specific to this exhaust is included. A very easy nut and bolt change over.

A 914-6GT clone just sold on BAT with a high bid of $58,000 so with the 8% buyers fees the effective price was $62,640. No spare wheels and a motor that would not fit into any vintage class and be competitive.
