For sale is a 1985 911 Carrera in excellent condition.

I bought the car 3 months ago from a Porsche fanatic and have just found out I am moving overseas.

The previous owner has had many 911’s and was meticulous about the car.

The car comes with its original factory owner’s manual, service book and brochure from when the car was delivered in 1985 - all in excellent condition. Also with the car is the hard to find original factory tool kit.

The car has 153,500 miles, but was rebuilt less than 6,000 miles ago by Cyntex Performance Innovation of West Chester, PA.

The car was put through a complete restoration over a period of about 3 years. The body was disassembled for painting, interior restored, suspension renewed, and engine brought back to factory standards. It has been stored in a heat & A/C climate controlled environment. The car was recently inspected and is good until October 2008.

The car is a beautiful color combination of dark blue & full leather saddle interior. The black carpet and full leather seats are in as new condition. All rubber seals throughout the car have been replaced (Targa top seals, windshield, back Targa glass, front trunk seal, door scraper & felt, door seals, door handle seals). All layers of the Targa top have been totally rebuilt with all new factory materials giving it not only a factory look but also the proper spongy feel. Also check out the photos showing how well the Targa top fits (most stick up too far). The wheels are the optional 16” wheels as delivered by the factory.

The factory original seats are incredibly comfortable and supportive, both driver and the passenger seats are 6 way electrically adjustable. The interior is total leather, front & rear seats, door panels, shifter boot all in as new or excellent condition. The dash is in as new condition no cracks or marks of any kind. The steering wheel is a factory 930 with Porsche crest in as new condition. I do not have the original steering wheel for the car. The door sills and the clutch, break & gas pedals are stainless steel.

The driver’s side window sill has slight cracking around the lock. Replacement cost is $250. The A/C is not working. The front condenser has a leak. All seals have been converted to the R134A system, however. The condenser will run you $210.

The engine idles smoothly and runs incredibly strong through all the RPM ranges and absolutely no leaks at all. Engine was totally disassembled with new crank bearings, rod bearings, intermediate shaft bearings, piston rings, hydraulic tensioners, chains, ramps. The heads received a 3-angle valve seat with new seals. Transmission was disassembled, cleaned, adjusted and installed with new clutch, pressure plate, throughout bearing, pilot bearing and shift cable. The transmission shifts solid through all the gears. The computer and all engine sensors are also new.
