This is a very well sorted 1973 914 that I don’t want to sell but I must for future financial reasons. This car was not a daily driver for me and has spent its life with me in the garage under cover when I wasn’t driving it. The engine is a 2056 rebuilt around 45,000 miles ago (This was before I owned the car but I have all the receipts) with dual Dellorto 40’s. The car runs very strong. I just recently completed the 5 lug conversion so all parts are very fresh. I have spent many hours going through the car and making sure everything is correct and works like it should. I’m asking $8500 but will consider reasonable offers. I have plenty of documentation and pictures on the changes I have done since my ownership. Please contact me via email ahdoman@socal.rr.com or give me a call 661-251-7686 (Steve). The car is located in Southern California.
![]() ![]() Engine… Rebuilt 2056 (size determined by receipt documentation) with about 45,000 miles on it. All receipts available. The engine runs strong and has hydraulic lifters, .050 curved for 2.0 engine w/ Crane optical points, Dellorto 40’s, Optima Battery, CB Performance rotary fuel pump. Known problems are… - Lean condition in #2. Not the carb, probably leak at head. - As with all hydros one will occasionally not pump up on startup. - Intake stud on #1 is loose. Needs to be fixed with Helicoil or other. ![]() Chassis… No rust currently on the car. Longs are clean. “Hell hole” has not been closed up but all rust treated. Car has been repainted with original Porsche Sunflower Yellow. Rear quarter panels have been lightly pushed out to fit rear wheels and lips have been rolled. As with any old car the panels and body work is not perfect but it is quite good. Paint is polished and shiny. Bumpers are backdated chrome with stock driving lights concealed behind louvered covers. Headlights are Hella H4’s. Suspension… KYB’s front and rear. Converted to 5 lug with 16 x 7 real Fuchs all around. Tires have plenty of tread on them. Brakes… 911 “A” type calipers up front with fresh rebuild. Vented rotors. Rear calipers are 914 rebuilds from PMB Perfomance with spacers added to be able to use vented rotors. Since they are stock modified calipers the ebrake still works. ![]() Interior… Very clean and nice. Installed dash is cracked but a recovered one is included in sale. Seats are stock and very clean. Rear targa pad has a couple of cracks. Has center console with clock, CHT, OT, OP and Voltmeter. Carpet has a little wear on drivers side long. All gauges work and glass is very clean. Side and rear windows are lightly tinted. ![]() Electrical… Updated wiring with Engman fuse panel. All of the wiring was redone per factory spec as much as possible. All electrical components work properly including fuel pump. |

Because some have asked about this and because if I sell the car I don’t need these things… Purchase option #2 is the car as stated above with;
- Engine project (see thread; http://www.914club.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=90591) - Italian 44IDF Webers (see thread; http://www.914club.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=90581) - Very Clean 2.0 SS Heat Exchangers (the good ones, all SS) - Extra “sport” drivers seat - Bilstein adjustable rear shocks - Misc. stock parts (front valance, shocks, lot of additional misc. items) Asking price for everything $10,000 |
