1980 911SC. Street legal DE/track car

1980 911SC. Street legal DE/track car. This may not be a gold plated car, but it has been layered in sterling silver. Continuing travels to Afghanistan and elsewhere have forced my decision to sell this vehicle. I’ve owned it on and off since 1996 and it is time to let it go again.

Full OG racing 6-point cage, central extinguisher system (needs recharging), Kirkey buckets, Momo wheel, WEVO shifter and electrical kill switches. This car has felt carpets, no soundproofing and only the essentials for street driving. The ventilation system features foot well blowers for defog and cockpit heat. The A/C system has been removed because of its useless weight.

Motor rebuilt by European Performance ($7,000.00+) in Raleigh North Carolina. Stock internals except for 964 cam profile. Approximately 14,000 miles on the car since the rebuild. The engine has fresh Zenith 40 TIN carburetors with correct jets and venturis. The distributor was recurved with the right mechanical advance by Rennsport Systems in OR. This is a very strong engine with stainless steel exhaust.

The body is very sound, never wrecked or bumped. It has through body front anti-roll bars and non-stock torsion bars. The sun roof has been replaced with a steel roof from a non-sunroof car. That change alone saved almost 40 ugly pounds. RS style door panels with strap pulls. Schroth harness systems.

The car is very solid with thoughtful modifications were it counts. Too many little (and big) projects in this to car list in detail. Please contact me for any questions. Located in Fayetteville NC adjacent to scenic Ft. Bragg. $13,000.00

A couple of questions have been asked, plus I get a bump.

I'm not sure on the HP for the engine it has never been on a dyno. It's a fresh 1980 3.0L with SSIs, 964 cams and carbs.

The car was weighed in at 2455 lbs. with 1/2 tank of fuel, no driver.

Some answers to more questions:

Does the car have Cats? No.

How's the condition of the clutch? Seems fine. No issues that I have noticed.

tires? Plenty of tread. I have a new set of fronts that I plan on throwing in on the deal.

Clean title? You bet.

What suspension is on it? Mostly non-stock components. Thicker torsion bars (my friend that buys then sells it back to me, upgraded the suspension last time he owned it, my turn at the car was the engine work) The bars are larger diameter but I can't remember what he told me. Bilstein shocks. Upgraded anti-roll bars (front is a through-the-body, rear is larger diameter upgraded by my trading partner), and a strut tower brace.

Oil Cooler? There is no oil cooler in the front air dam. I have never had any overheating issues with the car. This includes summer track events at Summit Point, VIR, CMP, Mid Ohio, Watkins Glen or Rockingham. The brake ducting is connected to the intakes and feed into ducts at the brake disk. I've never had any brake issues with the stock brakes.

Ok, gotta move some iron...

I will throw in a nice set of Rota Fox wheels for the car.
RSR finish with very low miles on the wheels.
