Fs 1982 911 sc $18,500

1982 911 SC, schwarz metallic, brown/tan interior. 200,800 miles.

I bought the car in June of 2009 with 197k miles. A track day inspection that October found two broken head studs and when the heads came off, there were two broken pistons as well. The engine was completely rebuilt with new pistons and cylinders, and of course while the engine is out, might as well rebuild the transaxle. $15,000 later, the drive train is like new. I have also had the brakes and struts replaced, the ignition module and coil have been replaced, and the rusted out heat exchangers replaced with a solid used pair. Mechanically, this car has less than 2,500 miles on it. It has all the usual updates.

Although the passenger seat looked like it had never been used, the drivers seat had a split seam, so I had both seats recovered. There is a small 1/4" crack in the dash at the corner of the defroster vent on the passenger's side. The headliner was replaced by a previous owner and is in excellent condition.

For the exterior, there were some rust bubbles of the cowl and under the rear window. The windows were taken out, the rust was repaired and the top of the car was resprayed. There are some chips on the front bumper, but the exterior is very nice.

Overall, this car has been almost completely rebuilt. All mechanical work was done by Abacus Racing in Virginia Beach. I have almost $25k in receipts plus previous owners' receipts going back to 1992. PPI is welcomed and encouraged. I'm asking $18,500, but am eager to sell and will entertain reasonable offers. I live in Norfolk, VA, so overseas shipping should be relatively easy, but the buyer will have to make all the arrangements.
