For Sale – 1991 Porsche 911 964 C2 Cabriolet with rebuilt engine

Offered for sale is this 1991 964 Cabriolet, which is a personal car that I have owned since 2008. The engine was completely rebuilt in 2008 at 147,379 miles, and the car now has 158,692 miles. In addition to the engine rebuild, the car had a rebuilt power steering rack, upgraded suspension (struts and shocks from a 965 Turbo) and other maintenance and upgrades, all of which has been performed by a local Porsche shop and is fully documented, in 2008-09 at a cost of approximately $15,000. This car is ready to be enjoyed for the next 100,000 miles!

This car is a tiptronic, making in-town driving a joy, and the cabriolet top opens and closes at the touch of a button. The car recently had some cosmetic freshening, as we completely stripped and re-sprayed the front and rear bumpers, recovered the driver’s seat in correct Porsche leather, repaired a few loose clips on the rocker trim and replaced a variety of body seals. In addition, the tail lights and rear light bar were recently replaced, and are in excellent condition with no cracks or crazing. This car looks great, is mechanically excellent and is ready to be driven anywhere.

Carfax indicates that the mileage is accurate and that this has been a California car from new with no accident history. Body is straight, and I find no evidence of any prior accident damage. In addition to recently repainted bumpers, the driver’s side door and the rear decklid have been painted by a prior owner, but the car appears to have original paint in the jambs and other panels, and looks to have been stored indoors most of its life. Car currently has the stock 16” D90 wheels, but 16” cup wheels or 17” twists, in correct offsets, are available at additional cost. A period Blaupunkt CD player (with auxiliary input for your ipod) is installed and working well. The car also includes the factory cabriolet top boot in excellent condition and the complete owner’s manual and leather pouch, along with service records documenting the rebuild and other work done during my ownership. This car has been used as a fun weekend cruiser, and occasionally as a spare driver when an extra car has been needed.

Car is currently insured and registered through September 2013, and passes the strict California emissions test without a problem. I have clear CA title in my name and in my possession. This 964 represents a tremendous value with its documented recent engine rebuild. Interesting trades considered. We can assist with shipping to Europe.
