1990 Porsche 964 Carrera 4 white/black
$31,000 firm and can be seen anytime. Thank you for your interest.574-361-2723. Please, no texts.
***As many asked. The leak down test was performed this morning 8/21/15 and the numbers are: 10-15%. My mechanic is available to talk to anyone about the engine health to put them at ease. Thanks. Hey, everybody. I am unfortunately selling my 1990 Porsche 964 Carrera 4. It is a five speed and in great shape. 177,200 miles. Read entire description to see all work done! Car is located in Hilton Head Island, SC. Over the last two years, this beauty has had extensive work done; quality paint job, full mechanical run through, PPI, all fluids changed, interior redone, etc... A little back history, the car was originally Linen Grey Metallic from the factory, but I bought it black. Back in 2002, there was an off-road front end accident (carfax). The owner at the time drove into a wall in his parking garage at work. After the accident, he painted it black (high quality, too). The title is clear and not branded. Now, if you are still with me. There is tens of thousands of dollars of good to follow. I had O'Daniel Porsche in Ft. Wayne Indiana PPI the car before all the work was performed to mainly check the health of the engine. The engine and clutch came back strong, but the car needed typical work: valves adjusted, all fluids done, mainly routine work, some missing pieces (under paneling). I have the paper work to show anyone. After I was confident the engine did not need rebuilt, the car was sent to a restoration shop and the entire car stripped down to bare metal and painted correct- year Grand Prix White. The glass came out and all the body and glass seals were replaced in the process. This is a very high-end job.I have full documentation of the job with pictures. After the paint job, the interior was stripped down and an RS carpet kit was installed along with a new OEM headliner. The original 8-way power seats are in great shape, so I kept them in the car instead of replacing. New RUF pedals in the car. New door thresholds, seals, and the rear deck was professionally redyed, but did not need it. RS airbag delete kit and properly bypassed with genuine RS bridge. Mechanically the car is in great shape. It runs, pulls, and shifts well. Bob Farmer in Indianapolis, Indiana did thousands of dollars in work to the car. He did the entire PPI requirements and much more. He also evaluated the engine as well. No lights on, or fault codes. The PPI needs were: Valves adjusted and gaskets replaced Plugs and wires- expensive for this car, my land! (Have a box of brand new Nology Red wires if interested as well) All fluids: Transmission and diff were done with synthetics. Motor oil is Brad Penn. Fuel and Air filter (K+N) Genuine Belts CV boots-Bob Farmer said I did not need. I have them anyway to give to new owner. Brakes and rotors The car received new OEM pads and slotted/drilled rotors all the way around and new Bilstein HD shocks and struts. Rack aligned by Farmer afterwards. The wheels are 17 inch and in great shape. Not sure of brand, but a "Made in Italy" is stamped in back. These are 964 proper offset and balance out perfectly. Tires are BF Goodrich sport comps and in great shape (80%+ tread). The badges are genuine RUF as well as the front lip. The car needs a few little things to be done: The sunroof was serviced post headliner, so I wanted to wait for the panel to get done until after service. I have the leather to get it done. There is a part of the driver's headlight bracket that needs replaced. I am trying to find the part used to replace. AC has never been used, may just need recharged. I am unsure. Does need a new blower motor. There are very few aftermarket parts on the car: Dansk cup pipe, Fabspeed intake box cover, RUF parts (as stated above;front lip, pedals, badges, have new mats too if interested), RS front bumper inlets, Kenwood unit.) I have roughly 26k in receipts in two years and I am selling because of my move to Hilton Head Island. Sacrifices have to be made and I can only keep one sports car, my project SC made the cut. My 964 is not perfect, but its a great DRIVER and was built to be enjoyed. The car comes will all receipts, extra key, brand new factory manual, Certificate of Authenticity, and if interested (for a good deal) I have a set of 17 inch twist wheels off my old 996 C4. It has a winter AND a summer set of tires in good shape for $500. They are in okay shape, but could use new paint to be perfect. There is SO much I did not list that the car had done. It is one to see in person, so the details can be pointed out and the work can be admired. Interested buyers, give me a call, or email me and we can talk about the car! Also, have dozens of pictures more to send to anyone. Thanks for your interest and serious buyers can test drive anytime. Last edited by bbturbo; 08-30-2015 at 06:43 AM.. |
