FS: 1972 911t
Fresh posting with fresh pics. I'm selling my beloved 72 after buying an 87 cabrio. This was a very difficult decision, but it's time for a change.
$55000 USD/$70000 CDN OBO. Car is located in Hamilton, Ontario Canada (about 40 miles west of Toronto). I'll assist with export to the US, Europe or wherever. Dealer purchasers welcome. Pics: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/k35gq4yaxkvrve1/AABPbk1VLlbgWawPyN9761IIa?dl=0 I've owned the car since 2004 and I'm familiar with almost every inch of the car. Lots to tell, but I'll summarize here. Feel free to ask questions, PPIs are of course welcome If you search my username here you'll find tons of info on a lot of the projects I've done on the car since I've owned it, especially my 915 rebuild. -1972 ROW T with S options (aluminum front calipers, front spoiler), originally sold in Germany, imported to Canada in the early 80s -215,000 km (133k miles) -original #s matching 2.4L engine comes with the car, but is not currently installed, needs a rebuild (it was smoking and down on power when I removed it in 2009). Currently has a 1982 US 3.0L engine installed which I bought from another Pelican in 2011. It had 154k miles on it at the time, PPI by John Walker showed 135, 140, 140, 135, 135, 135/10, 8, 7, 8, 7, 5 and no broken headstuds. It's smoking a bit on heavy braking from high rpms, so valve guides are starting to wear, but still makes plenty of power, strong acceleration. IMO it should be good for another 50k before a rebuild is required. -Weber carbs, professionally rebuilt in 2009. -refreshed interior 2011: new carpets, RS style door panel, seats from a mid-80s 944. -transmission rebuilt in 2008 (well documented here on Pelican) -all new shocks in 2005 (Bilstein sports) -22mm Weltmeister front sway bar installed 2009 -lots of oil leaks fixed over the last 2 years including oil return tubes, just got a replacement cooler to tank hose from Pelican this week, hopefully that's the last leak. -professional valve adjustment last summer -MA Shaw fibreglass ducktail, original decklid comes with the car, though it's had holes drilled in it for a turbo tail by a PO. -SC flares added by a PO. Excellent welding work. -no structural rust - floors are solid, nothing around the windshield, etc. -meticulous maintenance since I've owned it - alternator, oil lines, brake fluid, fuel pump, wiring, etc. Tons of little things. Engine was out last summer to fix a bunch of little oil leaks. The bad: -small bit of rust on the passenger side door which should be addressed sooner rather than later (pics in the dropbox folder) -bit of rust under the battery. Hasn't changed at all since I bought the car, so probably not worth addressing. -hole in parcel shelf where I installed a child seat tether. (I did this before the car had significant value). Could be repaired, patched, have a speaker mounted there to hide it, or just replace the entire parcel shelf. -heater boxes are disconnected. I have replacement flapper boxes that will come with the car (the cable mounts on the old ones are shot), I just haven't had a chance to replace them yet. When I say I'd drive it across the country, I mean it. We drove it to OK and back summer 2014 and NOLA and back last year. That's over 6000 miles in total. This is not a show car, never has been, but nor is it a ratty dog. It could be restored to show-car level or just driven and enjoyed as-is. IMO it would be between a #2 and #3 on Hagerty's scale. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The CDN dollar is down, so that means a bit of a price break for US/European buyers, as what I need is $70k CDN, so that's about $53,500 US or €47,800.
I've been asked several times about importing the vehicle to the US. Because it's older than 25 years, it's exempt from all the DOT and EPA regulations newer cars have to undergo. You simply show up at the border, show your paperwork (bill of sale, signed title, etc) and pay 2.5% duty. It's much simpler than going the other way. Here's a video I shot yesterday of me driving it around - nothing excited, just shows steady and smooth acceleration, idle and braking. Sorry for the camera noise - I'm not sure if it's wind or vibrations. I'm new to the GoPro ![]()
