1970 Porsche 914-6 GT
![]() This 914-6 GT inspired build was built with no time or expense spared from an original 914-6. From the start, the goal of the build was to build a car that was as aesthetically pleasing as it performed. The car came to Kelly-Moss Road and Race in a shipping crate, 100% disassembled, and was expertly built by the shop team. The custom bumpers alone took more than 600 man hours to create. The rotisserie restoration/build features many racing inspired mechanical ideas, classic Porsche styling and show car quality finishes. Mostly Porsche parts used in the build, most of which are from a 911 Carrera. Porsche 911 Suspension and brakes are used to handle the performance engine upgrade. The 916 inspired Gearbox is rebuilt, REM coated and boasts a short ring and pinion. The Wevo side shift conversion on the 915 trans allows this transmission to shift better than any 914 ever should. The build standards were exceptionally high. Focused around performance look and function, the build cost was well in excess of $370,000. The engine alone would be more than $75,000 to replace, and makes over 300hp comfortably. Pro driver Andrew Davis, who recently drove this car, said it was by far the fastest 914-6 he had ever driven, including all the full-on race cars, and he felt confident it would out-accelerate a 991 Cup car to 100 MPH. This little rocket weighs in at only 1980lbs! Offered for sale in Madison, WI in better than new condition at $225,000. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
