Thinking of buying a Cayenne and need advice.

Hello, everyone.
I'm entertaining an idea of buying a used Cayenne (years 2012-ish to 2016-ish) gas- or diesel- powered. In gas-powered version - V6 engines.
What should I look for, or avoid?
What are the long term and immediate expected repairs?
Relivable or not?
Air suspension or not?
I know nothing about his particular model, therefore my questions may seem stupid.
I intend to keep it for a long time (over 5-7 years) and, if it lasts and performs - for even longer time. I may use it for some occasional towing.

What kind of maintenance do these diesels require?
What about that fiasco with VW diesels a few years back? I've a few ads, where they mentioned about some repairs "covered" by VW diesel problems.
Could they (engines) be screwed up because of proper maintenance and what could that be?
I understand that air suspension is standard on S and Turbos and was an option on "lower" trims".

Miss my 2013 GTS. Best vehicle I’ve ever owned and the safest.
Walked away from a 70 mph crash with a small cut above my eye and a bruised hip. Saved my life.

i have an S so it's got the V8 - not sure about the V6 but look for coolant leaks - glued and plastic coolant pipes are a real issue with these cars - transfer case is also something to watch - not all S's have the adjustable air suspension - but i believe all S's are V8's

Speaking of coolant pipes - are you talking about the one that runs under the intake manifold from front to back?
Is this pipe installed on all engines, V6's and V8's?

I'm on my 5th cayenne and the 2016 diesel is a keeper - solid. 103k miles on it have done 63K of those... Superb
2 s - 1 SOLD 1 T-BONED BUT KEPT US SAFE , 1 gts WRITTEN OF BY A BUCK - HIT IT AT 60 MPH - BOTH THE DEER AND THE CAYENNE WERE A BLOODY MESS - NO INJURY TO ME , 1 base - USED FOR TRAILERING MY GT3 - RETURNED OFF LEASE

COOLANT PIPES WENT ON MY 955 - 20 MILES AFTER A DEALER PRESSURE TEST - REFUNDED THE COST BY PORSCHE.

PITY USA DIDN'T GET THE V8 DIESEL

wwdwgs - don't know if the coolant pipe issues apply to the V6 or not - those under the intake will always go eventually unless replaced - also there are the glue-in ones on the thermostat housing and rear crossover pipe - again not sure if V6 has these

Find a later model Diesel under warranty and get it gone through before the 120k warranty is up.

We've had this topic pop up a few times on the OT thread and a few Cayenne owners chimed in a with some good answers. Reviews seem to be overall good as long a maintenance is kept up:
