New Throttle Body - Re Code?
Do you need to use an external device to re-code or calibrate a
a newly replaced throttle body? Or is this procedure possible with using a built in process or pattern? Thank you 2016 958 Base Cayenne |

Why would a throttle body need to be coded? I’m confused

I have read a few things that state after cleaning or replacing the throttle body in a Porsche Cayenne 958, a re-code/re-learn procedure is required so it functions correctly. I do not know why this is required or if the vehicle can automatically calibrate it. I am hoping an expert here may know.

Is it a new throttle body?
There is an adaptation just using the key to the on position for one minute then off for 15 seconds that is an adaptation after cleaning and stuff, but not sure about a replaced one. Search for the manual one and try that first?
