04' Cayenne s, Accident lock up system?
I just picked up a Cayenne that was in an accident. It should be a great project, but it came without keys, and everything (electrical, seat belts and the battery jump point under the hood) seems to be locked up. Is there a fusible link or similar that blows in the event of an accident? I know my BMW e39 has one right at the positive battery terminal that blows so things like the fuel pump don't keep running. I went to check at the battery, but its under the seat, and I need to manipulate the seat rearward to get at it. Argggh. Is there something I'm missing? What about the entry and drive option? Does anyone know what option code that is? Any help would be great. Thanks, Marko.

I think you will need to have it towed to the dealer to have them get into it. They can probably produce one from VIN#. I know they can do this if you have one key and $400+. I hope you have really deep pockets because the repair and just obtaining a key won't be cheap. Good Luck!

I think that year Cayenne has a push button that you can reset under the driver's seat, next to the battery. Remove the plastic trim pieces on the back of the driver's seat, and then remove the 2 plastic trim pieces in the carpet in front of the driver's seat and then remove the 2 triple square bolts below those trim pieces, lift the seat and tip it rearwards on its hinges, and the switch is right there next to the battery. But without keys, you will still need to get it towed to the dealer because they have the scanner that is needed to program a new key for it.
