Brake job on 2011+ Cayennes

Plenty of DIY tutorials on pre 2011 Cayennes, but not much on 2011+. They are different. Mine is a 2014 and needs front brakes and rotors. Any DIY tutorials out there?

Thanks,

Ron

I got almost everything figured out except how to access and remove the old brake pads. Don't see an old style pin to knockout. Anyone done this before on a newer Cayenne?

Did you get this figured out? If you documented the work, post it up. It will definitely be useful for others. You could even submit it once you post it to get 10% off your next order with us. Details on that HERE if you're interested.

Just ordered the guide pins. Think I finally got it figured out. I will be attempting this job as soon as they arrive. It'll be my 1st time doing a brake job myself, so wish me luck.

Need Triple Square bit to loosen the caliper bolts. No one here carries them in store so will have to order online. Can you tell me what size is needed for the caliper bolts and also I think the rotor is held on with another one. What size is that?

Thanks!

Ron

Luccia, is the Socket Set - 12-Point 7-Piece Set on your website the same as a triple square?

Did the job this past Sunday. Turned out I needed one more bit-set, a hex-bit set, which I was able to get at O'Reilly's. You need that to remove the lower brake-line bracket. The left front took me a couple of hours as it was a 1st for me. The right took only 45 min.

The pads came out very easily, once spread.

Hardest part was getting the left rotor off. Must have pounded on it for 20 minutes. Almost gave up. Right rotor was much easier to get off.
