'04 Cayenne Turbo park assist

Any advice of who has resolved a non-functioning park assist on an early model Cayenne Turbo?

Problem - I've owned the vehicle for nearly two years and the park assist has never worked during my care & ownership. When in "R"everse, there is zero identification lights from the park assist displaying any lights or alarming sensors. I've pressed a button up top that looks like it may be associated with park assist but i've no response to any pressings.

Would the driver mirror switch/knob be linked to the problem? I have problems from that control unit not retracting in/out the mirrors properly. The driver door lights (red and white) have both been replaced and neither work which & the lock portion of the 'lock/unlock' does not function either leads me to believe i have some issue in and around the driver door area.

I hope i've provided a thorough diagnosis for this thread. Thank you.
Ryan

I'm not too sure but I know those door switch clusters relay information to other control units. That might be a clue.

There is also a function you can run with a factory scan tool which may help fix your mirrors. It is called parameterization, and another called a vehicle handover, these two should be run before replacing any parts.

If that doesn't work...

Assuming you've checked ALL the fuses in the left and right sides of the dash board, it might be worth replacing the switch assembly.

Click Here for a link to the switch.
