cool forum, can I have some help?

Hey guys, I'm peaking in from the 944 forum. I just noticed this one, swwweeeet. I have a '78 west pop up camper bus. I need to rebuild the motor and was debating on a 911 swap. My dad and I are really familiar w/ the early 911's. I might be able to sweet talk him out of a 2.2s(preferably) or a 2.4T plus a 901 or 915 he has a lot of early 911 stuff and I have a lot of 944 turbo stuff. Anyways, I haven't searched this topic much at all but was curious if you guys had any tips or could point me in the right direction(other than the hell out of here). I'd like to make the van streetable enough to be able to cruise 70 down the highway, so the 911 2.2S seems to be the way to go. I'm just babling but does any one know what the "best" setup would be if there is such a thing? again '78 bus fuel injected 2.0 4, hopefully a six soon.

the 901or 915 tranny swap is a great upgrade, but for streetable horsepower I'd recomend a big type4 engine. if you must go 6 then so be it, expecially if you happen to have one jusy laying around, but the 4 is a better bet for your van
if you're interested in driving this van daily then the type 4 will be a better choice, if its show WOW you're after than you cant match the wow apeal of the 6.

anyway also consider a 944 or 911 brake swap on your westy, if you got more "Go Fast" then you'll need more "Stop"
