Here is the ideal candidate for an electric conversion. 100 hp Warp 9 motor.

Wait, would now be a bad time to declare that I’m building a backdated 911 (ST style) powered by a Tesla motor?
![]() Why? Because I love the aesthetics of the old 911s, enjoy the instant torque of electric motors and, most importantly, want to learn a lot in the build process of this vehicle. Right now I’m still in the stages of getting to body sorted out (the old girl was not well taken care of), but have the Tesla motor modified, ready and waiting. It’s going to be a long journey and hopefully I can get input from the experts here as I build out the new suspension, brakes and other parts of the car. P.S. the white car at SEMA is not the same vehicle as the one in the EV build thread. |

Not a bad time at all. If we want this hobby to survive another generation, it's a great way to get younger generations excited about the body style and motorsports.

BlueHorizon, do you have a thread for the EV side of things yet?

Go for it! Maybe it will rock some socks off.
To each his own....

Consider it as proof of concept and as mentioned above plenty a cool classic hot rods and converted over to Electric… Das future ist coming
Technology evolves electric motor at Klassicks if you want to keep the car on the road in the future id how it’s done I do recall I think Toyota some years ago now converting a 2000 GT to Electric? It was done for a few reasons obviously to raise the profile on the technology and cause a serious Internet buzz Years later electric hybrid other cars becoming more common place like it or not and will continue unless some other form of propulsion… Jet packs anyone… Is cost affectively provided If holding any opinion on the aesthetic’s but conceptually it’s good to see you’ve been done and with the continual evolution of technology will only become more cost-effective pound per dollar for any given power output |

Yes, but you are also not allowed to modify any of the vehicles original smog equipment without violating the law. I'm sure you could pass at a referee station with some explanation, I just thought it would be a funny situation.
