G50 Coil Over Conversion Questions

I have a 1988 Carrera coupe and just started an LS conversation project. I'm interested in converting to coilover shocks and elimating the torsion bar susp. The car will strictly be a street car only.....no racing or track driving!

I'm certainly shocked on the prices of Porsche G body shocks!!!! I'm looking for some suggestions on what reasonable shocks options out there. I have looked at Elephant Racing's conversation of factory shocks to coilovers....anyone have experience with conversation!

I have built several restomod Corvettes, Camaros and hot rods and I'm spoiled by the reasonable prices of really high tech adjustable coilover shocks. I'm aware of the high cost of Porsche parts but looking to if there are any reasonable options out there. Thanks in advance for your response to my questions!

This question seemed lonely, with no responses. I am also interested in any experiences with coilovers (81 sc targa) since I'll be fitting a 996 6-speed and will likely need to make room. Still debating engine choice. Good luck 1rad55 and keep folks updated on your project, not a lot of actual work going on in this forum.
