911 Euro Carrera 3.0 LS build... Renegade v8 LS kit, just ordered the kit will take a few weeks to show up. ill add pics of taking it apart as we go.
ok, going to keep tally so ppl can gauge $. Renegade kit; conversion kit, cooling kit, fuel tank/system kit, clutch/pp kit, starter, inlet elbow, $7200. im sure there will be more bits i need from them but this is it so far. plans are building the euro 915 8:31 trans with taller 3, 4, 5 gears, kinda like a yellowbird box. 7075 side plate, 7075 bearing retainer plate, and all internals cryoed. 915 has a oem lsd and cooler already. i have engine options; l33 built to 480hp ish. or ls3 495hp, or ls7 600hp. all three in my shop currently. im leaning to the l33 all aluminum 5.3HO due to staying with the 915 gearbox. ls3 and ls7 have too much tq. in my opinion. the taller gears will be no problem with any of these engines due to the tq they produce. cost of l33 5.3HO; $3200. flat top pistons, 243 heads cut .030 ported rebuilt, asa cam, ls6 intake, shorty ss headers. aprox 480fhp. cost of danmfg 7075 trans parts $850. 3/.93 4/.72 5/.59 gearsets $650.ea so far $2800. cost of Rennline silver billet door lock knobs, buttons, floor boards both sides, pedals, smuglers box cover, trans shift cover, door sill plates, shift knob, key switch cover, gauge trim rings, shift bushing cover, etc. $2000. cost of powerflex purple polyurethane suspension; front strut mount bushings, rear trailing arm bushings, front sway bar bushings, rear sway bar bushings, fronts a arm bushings, rear plate covers and poly bushings. $500. cost of Eibach front and rear swaybar kits with adjustable drop links. 24mm front, 25mm rear. $700. cost of Wevo Revv shifter $500. the next six to 12 months tearing it down and rebuilding car and parts. |

Awesome project! That thing is going to boogie!
Be sure to keep us updated on the progress. I believe there's a few active members here running the Renegade swap kits who could answer questions |
Thank you Matt for the kind words!

my goals with this build is to build a tasteful, elegant car that will be over the top quality. likely will do a few mph mile runs involved. thats the purpose of the taller gears with cryo and rem coating the trans internals.

got the stromski shift coupler and collar in today. and repainted the black fuchs centers to red

today... part of the renegade kit showed up. woohoo lol

Post some more pics when you can. Make sure your manifolds/headers can clear the cradle. I mistakenly got a pair of hooker blackheart headers on a great deal ($100 vs the usual $900 or so) and realized they would not fit without a good amount of cutting a rewelding.

Sweet build! Almost bought a big renegade hybrid project a few years ago but it slipped away!
The rear wheels you swapped on 16x8, what size were the original white center wheels? |
Saw this last week. Doesn't seem like a bad deal depending on what all is there.
