i have the 996 adapter kit from kennedy engineering with flywheel, pressure plate, copper rigid clutch, and throw out bearing. i have everything from the rear of a 996 6 speed car. i have the trans, the axles, the rear hubs and hub carriers, the shifter and shift cables. im not saying im transfering all of those components but the trans, the axles, the shifter and shift cables likely will be used. now i need to figure out the rear hubs. the 996 axles are the same size as early 930 stuff and same bolt pattern. hmmm...i have to get to work...

if anyone needs the 915 trans, wevo/revv shifter, the stomski shift coupler, the danmfg 7075 915 upgrade kit, the kennedy 915 to ls adapter/flywheel/pp/kevlar clutch disc, the renegade HD 915 starter, etc... i will be selling those components.

going full coilovers, bilsteins with eibach dual springs. 200/450lbs in the rear, and 200/350lbs in the front. we will see how it rides once completed with these rates.

Parts are coming in! I'm ready to see this 996 trans go in. I've been wanting to do the same with my car but have just been using the 915 till I feel more confident

lots of choices... my intent... daily driver/wkend warrior, some occasional track/de days, and texas mile runs. 600hp NA 550tq... but want this car and trans to live. i dont really want to cut the car... but in goes the 996 gearbox. g96 CMS build 3.00 ring and pinion, lsd, oil cooler, billet lockout plate, billet side plate, every upgrade we can do... trying to get albins to make a 4th 5th 6th.

No affiliation but I see this in the market place. Probably shortened at CMS. Just no LSD...

How much do you have to cut your car to put the g96 transmission in? what actually gets cut?

ok so thoughts on the car... simple and elegant. keep it simple and make it work well.. this is a non sunroof simple lite weight car.

ok adendums to original 1st page plan; now have rennline monoballs for the front struts/$200. rennline strut brace for the front/$295. tarrett front and rear sway bars/$1000. bilstien b8 front struts with coilover eibach dual rate conversion/$1800. rear bilstien b8 shocks with coilover eibach dual rate conversion/$1800.
