wow. 928 wheels :) Any updates to this pure s3x pr0n?

HA! So much for having it running by Spring. Money has been tight, and that forced me to pursue meaningful tasks to pay the bills. However, one vehicle sale in the works & one expected will free up some time to spend on projects. I have two fabbed up axles to pick from the machine shop. They are made from 944s cut & lengthened. Hope they work. Then on to the cooling system pipes, using 1 1/2in alum tube. Photos to come. Len :) |

Any updates to this one? Sw a Dokka at German Car Day yesterday and was reminded of this great build. Curious what happened with it. |
:)
Lots of other priorities have gotten in the way, like making fuel & oil hoses & paying the bills. The axles are still at the welding shop, waiting to be heat treated. I did buy another W/C Vanagon just for all the little parts that were missing from this one. Previous owner was going air cooled so he stripped out lots of pieces from the DOKA. Weather is great and hope to get back on this soon. Sorry I missed the German car day, forgot all about it. Len :) |
Any updates on this? I'm loving these VW threads!

Sorry to say the priorities are still the same. Being retired with a much reduced income has its limitations when it comes to toys. Starting to sell off stuff just so I have that discretionary means to continue w my projects. I am so thankful the hoses & lines are still selling well. Plans are to work on the Vanagon Doka over the winter (snow expected tonight) and really & truly have it ready for Spring. Ha, I seem to remember uttering that phrase a long while back. Len :) |
