911 engine in a boxster

I am wanting to install a 911 engine in my boxster and I was hoping someone might have some info on what year engine will fit most easily in my 2002 boxster and what other pitfalls to watch out for, also where to find a good rebuild-able 911 engine? thanks

Question

Welcome to the Pelican forums!

996 3.4 swaps have been perfected to the point that they are almost bolt-in.It needs just minor motor-mount modifications for intake clearance and perhaps a new instrument cluster. There a number of shops around the country that can do this swap and know how to do it right (read correctly).
