Opinions on 911 Renegade on Ebay?

There's a 350ci in an 85 911 Targa on Ebay -- around $12K now.
BELOW are some excerpts cut and pasted from the ad, with a lot of the salesman BS removed (also at Porsche 911 Renegade Hybrid | eBay )

I'd appreciate any of your critiques of the car based on your experiences with these conversions.
Thanks.

1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe VIN: WP0EB0914FS161072
•Classic Porsche 911 Carrera Targa
•Renegade Hybrids Small Block Chevy V8 Conversion
•Still retains the Porsche 5 Speed Manual Transmission
•Upgraded Renegade Dual Braking System
•Weber Carburetor
•Conversion performance figures estimated around 4 seconds 0-60
The exterior is finished in desirable Porsche Guards Red and looks great! The paint is in good condition, showing a few minor imperfections such as some minor scratches and chips. The black targa top is also in good condition with easy removal for nice days. The body is in excellent condition.... The body has been converted to the turbo body with the use of a SKT wide body kit. The Porsche “Whale Tail” has been replaced with the SKT 959 wing and it’s a great touch to the exterior.

The interior is finished in black leather...showing some wear to the seats, which is typical of leather seats. The black carpet and door panels are also in wonderful condition. The 911 still retains the original black face VDO gauges with an added AutoMeter tachometer, and AutoMeter water temperature gauge. An aftermarket Aiwa CDC-X217 CD player along with Kenwood speakers has been installed ....

Under the rear bonnet, you’ll find a Chevrolet Small Bock 5.7L V8 engine conversion from Renegade Hybrids in Las Vegas Nevada, complete with Painless Performance wiring kit. ...The Chevy 350 is matched with Edelbrock manifolds, Weber carburetor, Renegade headers and Silverline exhaust.

Mated to the engine is the original Porsche 5-speed manual transmission with a machined 4130 chromoly flywheel along with a aircraft grade billet aluminum plate to adapt the transmission to the Chevy 350 ....

The 911 has been upgraded with Renegade dual braking system. The car has ... a set of staggered three piece Kinesis wheels wrapped in Kumho 225’s in the front and monster 315’s in the rear to harness the power of the SBC.

This Renegade swapped SBC V8 911 Carrera would make an exceptional daily driver or weekend track toy.
...the mileage currently shows 166,888.

My 2 cents:

If Renegade did the conversion it's going to run fine. It's a low performance 350 with a vacuum secondary carb, looks like an Edelbrock Performer manifold, and what appear to be cast iron heads! Those iron heads add some weight.

Nice power seats.

There look to be about $3,000 - $4,000 worth of tires and wheels. It's going to have the 915 trans, which will be fine for that engine.

Looks like a nice conversion. Will be really fun to drive. As of 10:30 AM Central time, the bidding is up to $14,000. Still not a bad price.

Thanks for the feedback and taking the time.
Gotta have AC already plumbed, though.

What kind of price would one expect?

Thanks.

the body work is not as clean as it should be, especially where some of the panels match up. someone has obviously played with the saturation in the photo so its hard to tell the condition of the paint. interior has some wear and modifications, makes me wonder what the wiring looks like under all the trim... nothing special about the engine is listed, probably just an average gen I chevy truck motor.
The car is/was some ones project, no telling what is really there till you can get your hands on it and go over it.
typical mid 80s 911 targas with original engine are brining mid $20ks these days. this one with the v8 should be in the $15k range, which is about what you could build one for

appears to be a decent start on a v8 project...water lines beneath the car need to be rerouted. front crossmember needs to be drilled for the water lines to be joined to. this would require that the cross member have suitable tubing welded into the cross member for the lines to attach. gauges are not well done nor matched...need some attention at north hollywood speedometer. unless the rear of the dash has been sealed expect a considerable amount of heat to migrate into the passenger compartment. if driven in a hot climate interior temps can be quite miserable... obviously the above items can be corrected fairly inexpensively! if you plan on upping the horsepower then the 915 becomes a liability with big sticky tires and fast starts...i would ask if the larger flares are steel or fiberglass. i think the conversion used renegade parts and that renegade did not do the conversion...radio needs to go!
