Counter rotation

Anybody ever used a counter rotating engine (marine) in a mid-engined Porsche? It would eliminate the need to alter the tranny. unfortunately marine motors are not high HP (SBC anyway), and the marine cam is not ideal for the street.

Just curious.

I think the crank is different due to the thrust direction of the crank.
