4.8 LR4 swap in a 85 944 NA.
Hello all,
I have a 85.5 944 that I am wanting to do a 4.8 LS swap. I am getting the engine for $200 and i am going to be rebuild/building it to get around 300hp im hoping. At the moment i am planning on just reliablitity, and not so much the WOW factor. Any help or input on this would be much appreciated. Also in the future i will be putting forged internals and possibly procharge it. but i understand i will have to beef up the transaxle when i do this. But HELP me out im a learning fanatic. |

It went pretty well, making the drivers side header was one of the most time consuming parts. I started in April of last year and it was running mid summer. This past winter I pulled it back apart some and made new headers and added a turbo. The car is a blast!
