Build complete... with V8 (not for the purists)
Here is the build, a year after the CHP rear ended my car, we ended up putting a V8 in there and doing a lot of custom work to make the car perform at a very high level. 410 HP to the wheels, everything is solid now... enjoy the pics!

Beautiful car, Im in the process of doing the same to my 82SC. I also installed the LS and purchased the kit from Scott at RH. Would you be so kind to share where you purchased that rear bumper. Congratulations, the car it looks amazing. To all the purist, Porsche's are a piece of art and we all interrupt art in all different ways. Embrace the creativity. Enjoy your ride.
|
Ha thanks Nine11 the bumper is part of the RWB kit... agree about the creativity!
|
the car looks good and the mechanicals look excellent.
|
Wow. Nicely done (and I'm one of those "purists")!
Who makes those wheels? |
Thanks...
Rotiform makes the wheels www.rotiform.com |

beautiful build!!!
|
Very nice ride without regard to drive train. Though honestly anything short of a modern GT car would have real issues keeping up! Is this a "real" RWB? Is it the only Chevy powered RWB? If this is a tribute RWB, please PM me more details.......love the look of your car.
|
How did you fit an LS with a factory waterpump without cutting the main chassis
|
Yes its a real RWB.
On the waterpump, it did take cutting the chassis. See pic... https://i.imgur.com/1epCC0Hl.jpg |
nice car! I have a 75 930s zz4. It has a lemans front spoiler that I don't like. Where did you get your front air dam and what style is it ? Thanks Gene
|
Hi Gene, its from a kit known as RWB made in Japan, they don't sell the bumpers separately
|
Looking good, I dig it!
|
Thanks Eric! Here is the thread on the accident...

I ended up finding it not too much after I posted!
Any plans to bring the car to Rennsport or any other events at Laguna Seca this year? I'd love to check it out in person! |
I'll try to bring it out to Rennsport this year. Otherwise happy to meet up around the Bay area anytime.
|
Wicked cool. Thanks for sharing such detailed images. Sorry to hear about the accident, but looks like it's back better than ever. Maybe you can bring it down to one of our C&C's sometime.

We found that the electric water pump couldn't keep up, so we ran a mechanical ones... needed to make room for it however
|
Scary and Great Story - - thanks for sharing!
BTW: I like those gauges - - who did the gauge-work? Shannon |
Thanks!
It was Seattle Speedo - Seattle Speedometer | Gauge Repair and Restoration |
That has got to be one of the cleanest V8 conversions I have seen in a while. Love the aesthetic details.
Also in the Bay area, would love to see this beast up close. Please let us know when you show it locally. |
Here are some more pics, just for fun
