1993 964 c2 ls7 g5052 build

ok not new to porsches at all... have gone the high dollar 3.4 twin plug, ge80 cams, electromotive dual ignition, pmo 50's etc etc etc... done with that and now here we are. bought a low mile 93 c2 some years back and have enjoyed it. but since the beginning I knew it would ultimately go under the knife. had a very nice 3.6 with stainless ghl headers with cat bypass, cai, tuned chip, so on... wasn't enough. my buddies 14grand c5 would beat me every time. started the lsv8 build a while back. now getting re started on it. factory oem ls7 505hp 500ft tq. g5005 trans case with g5052 2nd thru 5th gearsets. new bilstein nurburgring adjustable coilovers with hr greens. 93/94/rsa c2 brembo calipers, cross drilled rotors, stainless brake hoses, all suspension pivots are erp monoballs. cage from a ex racer rsa car. I will be doing minor mods to the ls7, hotter cam, stainless headers and exhaust, and a mild tune. should conservatively put me in the 580hp-600hp range. Kevlar clutch, modded g50 turbo pressure plate. typically the Kevlar clutch is only good to 550ish hp but the cam im going with drops some of the tq traded off for more hp. in this light of car more tq isn't necessary.

post script; prices so far, c2 15900.00, sold 3.6 for 6g, brings initial dollar back to 9900.00. g5052 internals 1000.00. ls7 crate engine with injection, pcm, and harness 18000.00. conversion pieces and aluminum stock... around 200.00. griffin aluminum 3 core radiator with electric fans and shroud 600.00. this is the bulk of it so far. there will be more. around 27200.00 for a 580hp car with a g5052 gearset that weighs in around 2800lbs... super car killer!!!

nice start on the build. i like the pricing for comparison. and, while being as detailed might get some weights of the various components, especilly the engine and transaxle. build on....

no problem, the 3.6 is 485lbs. the ls7 is 440lbs. so the ls motor is lighter.

other than that the deletion of the Porsche oil lines, oil tank, oil cooler and so on is negated by the addition of the radiator and lines so weight is a wash.
