73T value opinion
Looking for some help with value of my 73T. It’s a euro car that has at some point been
Changed to a short hood. It has a running 72 2.4t engine that has S pistons and cylinders that were installed some time in the late 80’s when that engine was rebuilt and only has approx. 10,000 Miles on the rebuild from what I was told when I purchased the engine last year. I also have the original 2.4T engine that I removed last year because of a nocking Issue in the engine and installed the 72 engine. Reason for thinking of selling is I was jacking the car up this morning to address a sticking clutch pedal issue and I noticed a lot of rust around the drivers side track arm bracket that is just ahead of the control arm . The track arm bracket is actually loose and is sunken in. It looks like it was repaired in the past and is now falling apart. Anyway it’s going to need a new front suspension pan and whatever else and I don’t think I want to go down that path at this stage. If this photo attached the red engine is the euro original and the yellow is the 72 installed in the car it also has SSI’s. , Thanks Mike ![]() |

Having put a pan in my '67 912 and recently in my '69 911T, my uneducated guess is:
20K as is.........Fix the pan/rust and bring it up to 30K. Or, Repair the 2.4 engine, install, fix the rust and return to Long Hood for $40K......... Just a guess........
