1967 SWB 2.0T Targa value

I've come across a deal on a rather rare 1967 2.0T Targa. Completely original, albeit a paintjob from bahama yellow to silver in the 80's. Matching numbers and both engine and gearbox are revised and runs excellent. No rust at All. Great patina and quite lovely. It's not a soft window. Car is nr 68 out of the 500produced that year - the very first year of the Targa. So this car is actually nr 68 Targa ever.

Big question: What should it cost????? Any ideas? Nothing like this for sale in Europe really - they are all S. This is a T.

Thanks. I have Porsche authentification on originality incl the hard Targa window which was a 'deluxe' option and this is original to the car. I'm debating wether I should bring it back to soft-window or not. But that would destroy the originality of this particular car.

Too bad about the repaint. I like bahama yellow.

As he mentioned, there's no 67 T, so either the car is a normal or a 68. A 67 will start with 500xxx. A 68 will start 1687xxxx

Right. He said it’s a T. If it’s not it won’t start 1187

You are correct Sir! This particular car is indeed a 68 model produced in september 67. So a T with the optional hard Targa window.

Thank you

Here's my old T coupe. The guy I sold it to restored it to it's original light ivory. It's the only 911 I regret having sold. But I can't complain about the fact I have 3 Porsches in my possession that were bought with the profits from that one car.

Help me value my Euro 1968 911t

Got confused for a minute because a have a dyno sheet proving some very fresh 134hp. So thought it must be an 'L'. But it is a T. Engine was rebuilt in the 90's so they must have done some mods back then.

At the time factory replacement P&Cs were readily available and it was very common to update the T engines to something more than the 110hp stock. You will also want to look at the engine case. Early ones were still aluminum, but later production was the first magnesium case 2l engines they produced. Getting the engine type number and serial number would solve all the mystery here. Weber carbs I assume?

Glad you mentioned that as I was just about to chime in as to how all the 67 Targas were soft window.

My first Porsche was a 67S, soft window unit many, many years and a huge number of 911s ago. It was a fun little car, although its a wonder I didn't die in that thing given the way I used to push-it through local twisties w/that rusty suspension pan!
