another "what's it worth" thread

not the car silly! the featherlite aluminum trailer.... 07, spare, tongue box, removal fenders for lower cars door clearance, both axles have electric brakes, spare and ramps that slide into compartments at the rear.

as you can see I need a garden not a Porsche trailer any longer.. prolly needs tires come spring. new im seeing 8k, not many previously owned units on the market. im seeing nice, used steel open car trailers for $4500, not aluminum heavy steel... so what's it worth PPMPF membership??

Around here $4000-4500. At least that’s what I see on the local PCA listings.

listed it on a central CA track group's FB page for $5300 and interest has been immense. a perspective buyer will travel to twain harte from Petaluma (3+ hr drive) wed to look at it putting purchase odds at 80%.

one member even posted "that somebody needs to jump on this because it is a smokin deal" then he admits that "he does not even know the gent selling it". the fact that he called me a gent is solid proof he does not know me. right shug? nutz?

We paid $3500 for ours, it was used about a dozen times, but the guy's company was going bankrupt the next day so it was a fire sale. They normally sell for around $5000 used, so you're probably good at that price.

Our's probably has well over 100,000 miles on it at this point, you save a lot on gas with an aluminum trailer.

ive used the weight angle in the sales add suggesting that the light trailer with brakes on both axles is perfect for lighter duty tow vehicle. it always amazed me how i'd see enclosed trailer full of car, tools and such being towed by a cayenne, cherokee or other what I consider a mid size tow rig in the paddock. just because the rated tow capacity was not being exceeded did not make it safe in my estimation.

I much preferred forgetting I was even towing from time to time with the diesel, aluminum trailer and a #2200 spec911... ill be sorry to see this trailer go, but I need something more utilitarian for work around the property. as you may have noticed in the photo above it's loaded with leaves to be taken to the green waste depot...

I'd keep it and have someone fab some stake pockets, throw some plywood up and you have a dual purpose trailer.

Most Aluma trailers have stake pockets as an option.

Does this mean that pNutz likes to wear skinny jeans, v-neck shirts that are two sizes too small, and even gets his eyebrows waxed on a regular basis (maybe his gonads, as well)?!?!

Yes, but generally these guys, if under budget just shave -- chest, torso if necessary, of course gonads and inner thighs. Waxing is only for the rich! pmax can't afford that.
