Damn appropriate tune!

Love Metallica! It was my go to workout music back in the day… I remember when I was in the desert (no real workout gear) I would put the 25k lb aircraft chains around my shoulders and do pull-up’s…. Yup….memories…

I actually felt like going in the garage to attack the barbells, but the feeling has passed…

Maybe we should discuss our fav metal/hair bands in the Ronnie thread…lol…

"whole car needs to be media blasted" LOL what's gonna be left of the car if you media blast it?

The deal breaker for me though is "sold as is no warranty". If that guy can't stand behind the car and offer a warranty, it means it's not very good.

Just found this thread. I actually bought the car. Not sure if it’s save-able but we shall see. The metal is pretty solid, but will need to be dipped.

Beyond the obvious distortion to the steel from the heat, if the metal was hot enough then drenched with water it will become too brittle to rework.

Understandable. The only distortion that’s obvious is the roof at this point. I just picked up a new no sunroof roof skin. The hood and fenders will be replaced with fiberglass panels. I will know more in a few weeks.

I agree, some of the metal may be toast…..

Do you have pics of the interior floor section cleaned off?

No not yet. I will get to that point next weekend. I’m still just removing all the wiring what not from the car.
