Thanks Nick. I appreciate the thoughts. Getting a diagnosis was a huge step forward, after fighting so hard as my own advocate. Doctors are so quick to diagnose and push you out the door. You have apnea, here’s a cpap. You get migraines? Take this pill when there’s an attack. I kept fighting, even paying thousands out of my own pocket when insurance wouldn’t cover things, because I knew I wasn’t being a hypochondriac.

I really only posted in response to his comments to give him one last chance to act like a decent human being. But he’s worse than DJT, in his inability to say he made a mistake or is sorry for past bad behavior. And you see how that played out.

I'm a big advocate of taking responsibility for your own healthcare. Realising that the doctor's approach is to try and find your easy pigeonhole, was a big step forward for me. No desire on their part to understand what's going on, in my experience.

Yep. And I’m really grateful that I’ve got a GP who not only listens, but ws willing to advocate. Without his second opinion on every set of test results and willingness to keep looking for an answer, I might not have gotten the right answers.
