Value Check 1982sc with turbo flares
Subject: Value Check – 1982 Porsche 911SC w/ Steel Turbo Flares
Hello everyone, looking for some input on what my 911 might be worth in today’s market. Details below: 1982 Porsche 911SC
Car was regularly driven, not a garage queen and has roughly been in storage the last 10ish years. Recently registered and passed CA smog. I would like to get a realistic sense of what the market would pay for a car in this condition, not concours, but solid mechanically with cosmetic needs before I post everywhere. And I'm not interested in going the BAT route either. Appreciate any thoughts or comparable sales you’ve seen lately. Thanks in Advance ![]() Last edited by shoebox; 09-15-2025 at 03:22 PM.. Not an expert on pricing, but I would put the price at $40K and would be happy to get $38K. Seems low, but 200K miles means that some not so common things are going to need replacing and bad paint isn't something most P car people want to live with. AC missing is also a real issue for anyone in the hot and humid areas outside SoCal and that can be an $8K endeavor.
With the cost of a respray getting to be astronomical, $12-16K for a good-very good job and don't even ask for a perfect job, the cost of fixing these in a shop going crazy and parts climbing, it really dings the price. I love your car, I am also on the east coast so I may be low for CA. The car is perfect for someone passionate about the 911 that can drive it as is or slowly fix the issues. |

Hey @shoebox I have a friend local to you that’s very interested in the car. Check your pm’s or emails, I’m happy to connect you with the buyer.
