What would a 1999 Boxster with a Tiptronic transmission and a brand new engine be worth? Brand new, meaning a dealer replacement engine with less then 100 miles on it.
The car has just under 40,000 miles on the clock. Color is silver, has Litronic headlights and lots of other upgrades. Body is in very good shape. Interior is near perfect. Sorry no photos at the moment.

A 1999 Tip w/ 40K miles likely retails (at a dealer) for 20-21K.
Now. I assume you are not a dealer, so deduct 2K from that price Now. Also realize that many people who know about Boxster, also know about the problems with the motors in '98-99. My opinion is that while a replacement motor doesn't hurt value, I don't think it increases value (Since motors shouldn't fail to begin with!). Also. to an enthusiast, the TIP may be viewed as a negative. Depends who you are marketing the car "to"... You could ask 20 and see what comes of it. To sell "fast" I would think 15-17 would be the better range. You might want to consult edmunds.com, KBB.com and just get a sample of ads from Cars.com or Autotrader to see what current market prices are. |

No I am not a dealer. I am however a Porsche wrench for a living. The car will be done right.
I know that the Tiptronic is not for everyone. I also am not looking for a "fast" sale. I still need to put the engine in it. ![]() I took pictures of it today and put them in our database. You can check them out here.
