911/83 Case value???

What is a 1975 Euro Carrera ( 911/83 type ) case in good condition worth? How about a 1973 911/83 case?

There was a 73 911/83 engine complete that they were asking $26,000 for. Do not know if that helps but it certainly bumps the thread. I would also inquire on the early S Board.

John ,I'm certain you know the answer to this question allready!!! LOTS!!!
There was an aluminum case 2.7 911/83 ('73) that didn't reach reserve at 5650.00 this past week on Ebay ...that should give you an idea.
The complete engines are going north of 20k if you can find them so S or RS cases are getting
unobtanium..got one ?or two? Thanks Bert

Yeah, Bert. I know they are worth alot, and yes I do have some S and RS cases and motors.

The auction on the RS case you refer to is what got me thinking...

What could I expect to pay for the RS case on Ebay? What should I try and sell my '75 RS case for as it's not a '73? What would a complete '75 RS motor be worth and what's a complete '73 RS motor worth? I am trying to gauge the market and if a '74/75 911/83 engines are worth less than a '73.

Alot of questions, I know.

I would think any 911/83 complete original motor would be worth $20 even if its tired. If someone (here in the U.S.) had a euro chassis they would be doing backflips to find that motor. Like the early cars, they do not make them any more.

911/83 engine

I still believe that knowledge of the 911/83 case/engine is rather rare, as are the '73 RS.
